8 Reasons To Use Scheduled Tweets
Scheduled tweets are one of the most powerful tools within twitter. If you don’t already have a tweet scheduling service you should check out TweetLater. Not only does it schedule your tweets, but you can also manage multiple accounts, send Auto Responses, vet followers, get keyword alerts and auto follow/unfollow tweeple. And that’s just the free version! So go sign up now, it will make your life easier.
Now, why use scheduled tweets?
I’ll Give You 8 Reasons:
1) Stop Flogging Followers Twitstreams
Your twitstream is the list of recent tweets you see on your homepage. When you find 20 articles you like and tweet them all at once you fill up your followers’ twitstreams. This is bad because you look like a spammer and they get annoyed at having so many messages from just one person. To prevent yourself being unfollowed, schedule your tweets with one hour gaps.
2) Get More Clicks
If you send 20 tweets at once not only will people be more likely to unfollow you but you’ll be lucky if 10% of your tweets actually get seen and clicked. By spreading your tweets out over a day they will have a better chance of being seen by your followers.
3) Reach More Followers
If someone follows you from the other side of the world they may never see any of your tweets because you send them while they sleep. With scheduled tweets you can reach followers in different time zones because your twitter is always active, even when you’re sleeping.
4) Automate Traffic
With scheduled tweets you can set and forget your twitter account for days or even weeks and still be getting traffic. This is perfect for holidays and weekends. You can even set up your promo tweets so they are automatically sent during the week. Then use twitter like normal but know that you are driving traffic to your site without having to think about it. I would recommend you still keep up with @replies and DMs if possible.
5) Share Good Info
People like being your follower if you share good information. With TweetLater you can spend a few hours a week searching for great articles and simply add them to your weeks tweet schedule. This way it doesn’t matter what you say for the rest of the week, you will still be sharing stuff of value with your followers.
6) Save Time
Finding great articles every couple of hours gets quite time consuming. By finding all your valuable tweet content at once you can save yourself hours of work. I use a tweet later bookmark folder in my browser so when I find an interesting article I can save it and add it to my tweet schedule when I am ready.
7) Did I just Say That?
Sometimes it can be tricky trying to remember whether you had already tweeted something a few hours ago. With scheduled tweets you book your tweets in advance so duplicate tweets are eliminated.
8) Good Self Promo To Other Stuff Ratio
Too much self promotion is never a good thing and with tweetlater you can set a healthy ratio of personal promotion tweets to other relevant article tweets. Without scheduled tweets it gets hard to track what you have been tweeting about and can sometimes get a bit too “me focused”.

There's one big problem with scheduling Tweets–followers can see you've scheduled the Tweets, which diminishes credibility. Is there a way around seeing the "via Twuffer," etc.?

I am all for tweet scheduling.
At first it seemed silly to schedule a tweet when you can just send it off right away so much easier. But I have actually heard from people who prefer to get them sapced out so they enjoy them (yes enjoy them).
